Meltblown Nonwoven Fabric

Meltblown Nonwoven Fabric is a type of nonwoven fabric made by an advanced meltblown technology. The meltblown process is a nonwoven fabric manufacturing system involving the direct conversion of polymers into continuous filaments and the subsequent transformation of these filaments into randomly laid-out nonwoven fabric. The industrial development of this technological field began around 1945. In this process, a high-speed stream of hot air is used to draw a thin stream of polymer melt extruded from a die, forming ultrafine fibers that are collected on a condenser screen or roller, while simultaneously bonding them together to form a meltblown nonwoven fabric. Meltblown nonwoven fabric uses polypropylene fiber as its main raw material, with fiber diameters ranging from 1 to 5 micrometers. These ultra-fine fibers with the unique capillary structure increase the number and surface area of fibers per unit area, which making the material have an excellent filtration. Meltblown nonwoven fabric is widely used in air & liquid filtration material, insulation material, absorbent material, mask material and industrial wiping applications.
